A quick update on the Routine tool card. As I shared, a few weeks ago, I came up with a preliminary routine . We tried it out for a few weeks, and what I discovered is that while it was helpful to see the major tasks that had to be done, we rarely followed the exact order as written.
Today I made a finalized plan.
The beauty of this version is that it takes the major elements from the preliminary plan but isn't as rigid. The pictorial nature should be easy for C to understand, and the fact that it isn't a list gives us flexibility to follow whatever order makes sense for a given day.
I still need to work on the evening routine chart, and will share that too when it is completed.
I like this idea. Can you explain how the chart works? I'm thinking of making one, and using a check mark square to place on the activities once we've done them.
ReplyDeleteAll routine charts can work differently to meet an individual family's needs. Mine is purely a visual reminder. We don't check things off, although I suppose if it turned out to be helpful, we could use post-it notes or something else temporary to accomplish that.
