Heard from Dr. Weisshaar. She and Dr. Parek consulted with Dr. Ashley at Stanford about my case and they all agree that inotropes are likely not indicated for me, pending the results of the right heart cath.
Echocardiograms indicate that my pulmonary pressure and resistance are fine, but if the cath shows they are high, then inotropes would be required to get them down and qualify me for a transplant.
Dr. Ashley suggested that I may be able to obtain an exception and get put in the 1B priority list even without inotropes. Wouldn't that be an answer to prayer!
In other news, I received my requested medical records today and spent an hour or so reading through them. Next step, getting them to Dr. Pham to see if I qualify for the drug trial.
Second, Lena the transplant coordinator wants me to wear a Holter monitor and do blood work because of increased palpitations since I've been discharged from the hospital, so I'll be heading up to Fresno again on Wednesday and Thursday.
Third, I've been instructed to track my fluid intake and target 2000 to 2500 mls per day.
