The following was published on my CaringBridge journal on Dec 13, 2014:
In 2002 or 2003, I went through The Purpose-Driven Life with a small group at my church in Miami Springs, FL. At the time, I felt strongly that one of my purposes was to bring God glory by sharing what He had done for me and lessons I had learned, using my writing skills in the form of a novel.
I made many attempts to start and continue and finish and revise this novel since then, and it's finally done and ready for public consumption. I decided to share it online through a blog format. It's a coming-of-age story told in first person by a character, Giselle Gottlieb. She is not me but is a lot like me. The characters and events in the novel are not my real family and friends, and in many cases are combined from several elements, but they may seem familiar to some because of course they are heavily drawn from my experiences, which is what I know and can write most realistically about.
The novel is complete but it takes some time to copy and paste and format. So far I have posted 14 chapters, and will post more as quickly as I can.

I decided to set the comments to require moderation so they are emailed to me privately. I made a decision not to post any comments because I don't have time to or energy to moderate and it seemed best to have nothing rather than a free for all.
This blog is about God’s faithfulness and my frailty. I write about my personal faith in Jesus, family life with ADHD and autism, grace-infused parenting, mental health and my heart transplant journey. Learn along with me how to treat ourselves gently and extend that same grace to others – especially our husbands and children.
